September 14, 2021
Good evening,
We will be closing the nursery for our service on Wednesday, September 15th. Some children were exposed to Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFM) this past weekend, so we are trying to avoid a major outbreak and also not share it with our GIBF guests. This usually affects younger children but can be contracted by anyone. HFM usually starts with a fever and then a rash/blisters in the mouth, and on the palms of the hands and soles of the feet. Symptoms usually appear 3-5 days after exposure.
Our nursery will be thoroughly disinfected and then reopen on Sunday, September 19th, for normal service. If your child shows any signs or symptoms of HFM, please keep them home.
Patch the Pirate Club will meet as scheduled Wednesday night.
Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
