The Bridge Between Worlds

This sermon from 1 Timothy 3:16 presents Jesus Christ as the “bridge between worlds,” revealing the great mystery of godliness: that through faith in Christ, sinful people can be both saved and transformed. Paul’s three couplets show that although Christ is infinitely greater than humanity, He became flesh and truly understands human weakness; although He is the focus of heaven’s fascination, He seeks and values outsiders; and although He now dwells in heaven, He is actively working in the world, calling people to believe in Him. Salvation and godliness come not through works, religion, or self-effort, but through faith in Christ alone, who places believers in heaven through eternal life and places heaven within believers by His Spirit, empowering them to live godly lives and share this good news with others.
