Trusting in the True God
This sermon from Joshua 2:1–21 explores the story of Rahab, a Gentile prostitute in Jericho who, despite her sinful past, chose to trust in the True God when confronted with the reality of His power and judgment. Rahab's courageous faith, symbolized by the scarlet thread she hung from her window, spared her and her family from destruction—not because of who she was, but because of who she trusted. Her story illustrates that salvation is not about our background, religion, or good works, but about trusting in the one true God who alone can save. Just as the scarlet thread marked Rahab’s home for deliverance, it points us to the crimson blood of Jesus Christ, which alone secures our salvation. When judgment comes, the only question will be: Are you under the blood?
